Kissy "I put lip-print kisses on notes & folks!" By Euphrates
Throughout the years Ideal has made many dolls that featured variations on the kissing
theme. The earlier baby dolls generally puckered their lips and made a kissing sound when
you pushed their arms in together.
In 1979 Ideal Kiddle-sized the Kissy theme to 3 inches. These girls did not need any manipulation to pucker up. Their faces were molded with an exaggerated pair of lips that a child could use to stamp kisses on books, walls and skin. The dolls came in 3 rooted hair-colors: brunette, blonde and red. Kissys are another one of those toys that are hard to find but very inexpensive. You can get boxed dolls for well under $20.
