Leggys "High Fashion with a Kick!" By Euphrates
It seems like every time I discover a new doll to collect she ends up
being Hasbro and hard to find. Leggys certainly fit that description.
These 10 inch hipsters, from '71-'73, earned their name because of the exaggerated length of their legs. The overall appearance of the dolls are somewhat similar to the Flatsys line by Ideal. The dolls had swinging one syllable names like Jan, Kate, Jill, Nan and Sue and came dressed in brightly colored mod clothes like bell bottoms and halter tops. Some of the designer clothing and accessory sets that you could buy seperately were: Polka-Dot Party Plazzo Pants, Tank Top and Hat Pink Peek-a-Boo Gown and Stole Plaid Knickers Outfit Star Spangle Dress and Stockings Today, Leggys generally fetch $15-$30 each loose and $30-$45 carded. The clothing sets can still be had for $15-$25 MOC. You can also find Polistil cards from Italy for a little less.
