Show Biz Babies "Groovy!" By Euphrates
Show Biz Babies are another member of Hasbro's Kiddle
influenced doll line. Like the Storykins series, these
'60s rock and rollers were on the toy shelves in 1967, and were 4-inches tall with
wire-based articulation. The likeness of the heads to the real-life stars they
represented was fantastic. In fact, the caricatures were quite similar to Remco's
Beatles dolls.
The dolls were packaged individually with a 33 1/3 record and a brief bio on the front of the card. On the back of the card was an actual photo of the singer with a replica signature. Show Biz Babies are very hard to find and, if you do locate one it won't be cheap. I have seen loose and even imcomplete figures selling for $35-$50, and complete figures selling for as high as $75. Carded figures can fetch $75-$125. I would really like to get a complete list of the figures that were available so if you have any additional info please drop me a line.
